Volunteer with Conservation Amplified and use your skills to help Make Conservation Mainstream.
We’re growing a team to share conservation stories, bring people together and help more people find their place in conservation.
Be part of a group of people passionate about using their skills to bring positive environmental change to the world!

Right now, we’re especially looking for people to help with social media, short-form video editing, vlog production and podcast promotion.
We’re also keen to hear from people who can:
Grow our local community and organise or support events in the Bay of Plenty.
Review creative work and coach content creators.
Coordinate volunteers and help our team grow.
There are opportunities to contribute remotely and locally. Have other skills to offer? We’d love to hear about them.
-
We’re a small, fast-moving team, so your contribution can help shape how we grow. You can expect clear briefs and guidelines, prompt communication and feedback, and proactive support from us.
You’ll have opportunities to:
Develop your skills through practical experience, feedback and coaching.
Build your portfolio and receive public credit for your work.
Meet new people, try new things and learn about conservation.
Take ownership of projects and play a meaningful role in Conservation Amplified.
Support multiple conservation projects through one team.
-
We’re looking for people who care about nature, are curious and willing to learn, take feedback on board and follow through on their commitments.
Relevant experience and skills are a big help, but we’re also open to beginners who are keen to learn and grow. We’ll explore where your skills fit and what support we can offer.
For digital roles, you’ll need your own suitable device and a reliable internet connection for downloading and uploading files.
-
We agree on commitments individually, based on your availability and role.
As a rough guide, most volunteers contribute around 5–10 hours a week - some more, some less.
We understand that life changes, and we're flexible to work around your other commitments.
-
Our usual process is:
Send an enquiry: Tell us about yourself using the form below. We aim to respond within 1-2 working days to arrange an initial chat.
Meet for an intro call: We’ll get to know each other and explore how you could get involved.
Onboarding: Sign our volunteer agreement and receive your first project brief.
Try a small task: Usually 2-5 hours of work, to get a feel for working together.
Catch up again: Once the initial task is completed, we'll get back together to explore your next steps with the team and identify how you can be involved moving forward.
